Acerca de Touhou Spell Carnival
I spent a few hours with Touhou Spell Carnival expecting either a pure bullet-hell or a traditional tactical RPG, and instead got something genuinely weird in the best way. You're positioned on a grid, moving and positioning allies while dodging incoming fire in real-time. It's Touhou's bullet patterns meeting Fire Emblem-style positioning, and the two systems actually click once you stop overthinking it. The spell variety and character roster give you real build flexibility across runs. What works: the tactical layer forces you to think spatially instead of just mashing attack; the dodging feels snappy. What doesn't: the early game pacing drags a bit, and some encounters feel like they're testing your patience more than your strategy. It's niche, but if you like strategy RPGs with a twitch component and don't mind the Touhou aesthetics, there's solid depth here. Definitely one for the grid-combat enthusiasts.
