The Crew 2 Demo
Four free hours to decide if Ubisoft's chaotic open-world racer is your kind of ride - planes, boats, and all. Worth the download to find out where it cracks.
Veredicto de GamerScout
Try the four hours if you want spectacle over simulation - but go in knowing the multiplayer depth and vehicle physics will disappoint competitive players.

Acerca de The Crew 2 Demo
I've spent enough time in arcade racers to know when a game is stretching itself thin, and The Crew 2 does exactly that while somehow still pulling you back for one more event. The trial gives you four hours with the full game, which is honestly enough time to see both the highs and the structural problems. The premise is simple: the entire continental United States as a playground, and you can race cars, pilot planes, drive powerboats, and ride motocross bikes across all of it. On paper, that sounds like a dream. In practice, it's a game that never quite masters any single discipline. The car handling sits in a soft arcade zone that will feel too loose for sim fans and too imprecise for people raised on Forza Horizon. Pro Settings exist to tighten things up per vehicle, and community guides have been built specifically around tuning these correctly, which tells you something about the default state. Rubber-banding AI is present and irritating. Street racing, drag, drift, off-road, and freestyle events are all here across four main disciplines, and the sheer variety of vehicle classes - including hovercrafts alongside the standard roster - keeps the content from going stale in short sessions. The loot-based upgrade system is mostly ignorable: equip the highest-number part and move on. Swapping upgrades between vehicles is a tedious chore when you do bother with it. Multiplayer is where the game genuinely disappoints people who came in expecting a social racer. Online co-op exists, and driving across that massive condensed map with a friend hits differently than going solo, but structured competitive multiplayer is thin. There is no ranked ladder worth talking about. The live online presence is there - other players visible in the open world - but the depth of organized PvP that the MMO tag suggests simply is not here. The Crew 2 also carries real baggage from Ubisoft's decision to shut down its predecessor entirely, which spooked a chunk of the player base about long-term investment in the sequel. That concern is legitimate and worth factoring in before you put serious time into progression. Where the four-hour trial actually works in this game's favor: the world is genuinely impressive to move through at speed. Highway runs through desert canyons, the jump from car to powerboat mid-region, stumbling on a famous landmark while ignoring the map - there are stretches where everything clicks and the scale justifies the chaos. The writing and social-media-follower progression framing are bad and nobody is defending them. But the raw spectacle of switching from a street racer to a prop plane mid-session is the kind of thing that lands differently for different players. If the first two hours hook you, the other two will confirm whether you want more. If they don't, the trial has done its job.
