Eight exotic kits, a full BMX career, and early access to seasonal drops - but the base game already covers most of what Riders Republic does well.

Riders Republic is Ubisoft Annecy's chaotic open-world extreme sports playground, built around a shared online world where mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, wingsuit flying, and rocket wingsuiting all collide across one giant map. Mass Races throw up to 50 players into the same event simultaneously, Tricks Battles run as 6v6 score-attack brawls, and the Free-For-All mode lets you race against up to eleven other riders across a rotating list of events. It is loud, messy, and genuinely great fun with friends online - the kind of game where you show up to do one race and lose three hours. The Year 1 Pass is the add-on layer on top of all that. Its headline item is the BMX Sport add-on, which brings a dedicated career track with 14 trick events that base game owners do not get. Beyond that, the pass delivers eight exotic kits spread across Year 1's pre-season and three seasonal drops - the Rocket Bike and Rocket Skis unlock on day one, with a Snowskate, Jumbo Bike, and other novelty gear following across the seasons. You also get seven days of early access to each kit and the BMX add-on before non-pass players can touch them. Here is the honest read: the exotic kits are open-world toys. They are fast, silly, and fun to mess around with, but none of them slot into career events or ranked modes. The Rocket Bike and Rocket Skis feel like a cheat code for freeroaming, which is exactly the right energy if your play sessions tend to start with "let's just ride around and cause chaos." The Snowskate and Jumbo Bike sit in the same bucket - pure open-world novelty with no competitive use. If you and your crew primarily play Mass Races or Tricks Battles, the exotic kits will barely come up. The BMX career is the only content here with real gameplay legs. Fourteen trick events is a modest but coherent addition that gives dedicated players a new progression thread to grind. Whether that justifies the pass on its own is a personal call. It is also worth flagging that Riders Republic has no split-screen or local multiplayer at all - every social feature runs online only, so the pass lives and dies by your willingness to stay connected and playing through the full Year 1 season window. Bottom line: if you are already deep in the Republic and want every exotic toy plus the BMX career, the Year 1 Pass fills that gap cleanly. If you picked up the base game more casually, the exotic kits will give you some great freeride moments, but do not expect them to change how the core game plays. Riley, Scout Team

Veredicto de GamerScout

Worth it for BMX career hunters and exotic kit collectors; casual riders can skip it without missing the core Riders Republic experience.
