Le Mans Ultimate
The deepest WEC sim on PC has finally hit 1.0, but the lack of a career mode and a DLC-heavy content model mean you should know exactly what you're signing up for.
Veredicto de GamerScout
Best for dedicated sim racers with a wheel and a genuine love of WEC endurance racing; casual or offline-first players will find it a tough sell.

I've put time into most of the serious sim-racing options on PC, and Le Mans Ultimate sits in a very specific, very narrow lane: it is unambiguously built for people who want to recreate the FIA World Endurance Championship in forensic detail, not for anyone hoping to jump in with a gamepad and feel like a hero in five minutes. That framing matters, because how much you enjoy this game depends almost entirely on whether that sentence excites or deflates you. The driving model is the headline argument for buying in. Built on the rFactor 2 engine, the physics system rewards patience over aggression, giving you tactile feedback through weight transfer, tyre grip and suspension load that lets you sense the limit of the car before you cross it. Hop into a Ferrari 499P, Porsche 963 or Toyota GR010 Hypercar and you feel the genuine tension of managing a multi-class grid at Circuit de la Sarthe, balancing flat-out speed with the constant risk of a brake lock-up under pressure. The Real Road 2.0 system means track surface grip builds up as rubber goes down across a session, and dynamic weather adds rain, wet lines and standing water that change the risk calculation lap by lap. The AI holds up its end of the bargain, too: it fights hard, makes mistakes without becoming chaotic, and handles multi-class traffic with the sort of awareness that makes long offline stints actually satisfying rather than frustrating. Content-wise, the base game gives you the 2023 WEC season, including the Hypercar, LMP2 and LMGT3 classes, across the full calendar of tracks from that year. Subsequent seasons and the European Le Mans Series content arrive as paid DLC packs, which is a legitimate complaint: getting current-season cars and circuits can push the total cost well beyond the base price. The single-player Race Weekend mode lets you customise class count, time scaling, fuel and tyre wear, and weather conditions, which gives sandbox flexibility but feels thin compared to a proper championship structure. A career mode has been announced for the future but is not here yet, so offline players are working with a fairly bare framework for now. Multiplayer is where the game leans hardest: the RaceControl system runs ranked daily races, special events and private sessions, pairing you with drivers of similar ability and building a driver and safety rating over time. A few practical notes for the hardware crowd: VR is supported and the handling model makes it genuinely worthwhile if you have a headset. Wheel and pedal support is strong, as you would expect from a Studio 397 title, and this is one of those sims that reveals a new layer of depth every time you upgrade your rig. Controller support is listed as partial, which is accurate; it works, but this game does not bend toward casual inputs the way a Gran Turismo or Forza title does. There is no split-screen and no couch co-op, so the four-friends-on-the-sofa crowd should look elsewhere entirely. For online co-op endurance racing against AI, that mode is planned but not yet available at launch. The honest summary is this: Le Mans Ultimate is a serious simulator that has matured significantly since its rocky early access start. The driving physics are among the best in the genre, the AI is genuinely good, and if WEC racing is your thing, nothing else on PC scratches this itch. But the DLC model fragments the car roster, the single-player structure is thin, and the game makes very few concessions for newcomers. Go in with a wheel, realistic expectations and an interest in endurance racing, and it delivers. Go in looking for an accessible racing game with a meaty offline mode, and you will bounce off it hard.
