I've spent enough time in free-to-play puzzle-RPGs to recognize when a bundle is pure cosmetic window dressing. If you're already committed to Gems of War's puzzle-battle loop and troop collection, the exclusive unit adds novelty. If you're new, this is just a shortcut that doesn't unlock anything you can't eventually earn through play. Gems of War blends match-three puzzle combat with squad-building strategy. The core game is free and horizontal - you're not locked out, just accelerated. This bundle speeds up that curve but doesn't change what you're actually playing. Grab it only if you've already sunk hours into the base game and want to accelerate your roster.
