If your FH5 garage is missing a mid-tier AWD supercar that handles Mexico's tarmac like it was born there, the Huracán EVO fills that slot cleanly - but only if you don't already own the Performante.

I'll be straight with you: single-car DLC is always a tough sell, and the 2020 Lamborghini Huracán EVO lands in a part of the Forza Horizon 5 roster that is already pretty crowded. Playground Games dropped this one as part of the Series 2 Car Pass back in December 2021, and it slots into the Modern Supercars category at S1 851 stock. That means you're getting an all-wheel-drive supercar pushing 630 horsepower from a 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10, with a rated top speed of just over 203 mph and a 0-60 time of around 3.1 seconds. On paper those numbers sound exciting. On Mexico's roads, they feel pretty good too - the AWD layout gives it a planted, accessible feel that beginners won't fight, while the handling stats leave room for tuners to push it further up the class ladder. The honest conversation you need to have before buying is whether this car does anything the Huracán Performante doesn't already do for you. Both share the same V10 output, both are AWD, and the Performante actually carries better baseline handling numbers in-game. The EVO has a slightly different feel on corner entry thanks to its revised rear-wheel steering setup, and the community has found it responds well to AWD drift tune conversions if that's your thing. But if you already own the Performante, or the Huracán STO (which is rear-wheel drive and a different animal entirely), the EVO's niche gets harder to justify. For casual players and newcomers to FH5, though, this is actually one of the more approachable high-performance Lamborghinis in the garage. The stock tune is forgiving enough that you can throw it into a Horizon Open lobby without embarrassing yourself, and controller players will find the AWD setup keeps things from getting squirrelly under hard acceleration. It's not the flashiest pick for online PvP races, but it won't humiliate you either. Wheel users will appreciate that the car's weight and feedback feel honest through a force-feedback setup, with no nasty snapping behaviour at the limit. Steam reviews sit at Very Positive, though the sample size is small enough (around 135 reviews) that you should treat that more as a signal of "no disasters" than a full endorsement. The base game's multiplayer infrastructure, including Online Co-op and cross-platform play, applies here of course. This DLC just adds the car. If you grabbed the Car Pass, you already have it. If you're buying it standalone, the value question comes down entirely to how much you personally want this specific Lambo parked in your Festival Playlist rotation. Bottom line from a fun-first perspective: it's a solid, well-modelled car that works great in casual races and holds up respectably in competitive lobbies. Spending a Saturday afternoon blasting through the Guanajuato street circuit in this thing is genuinely good fun, especially with friends in convoy. It just isn't essential unless the Huracán EVO specifically is the car you've been waiting for. Riley, Scout Team
