Worms Rumble itself is a genuinely interesting pivot for the series. Matches run in real-time rather than the beloved turn-by-turn format most fans grew up with, which immediately alienated a chunk of the fanbase and explains a lot of those mixed reviews. Deathmatch and Last Worm Standing modes drop you into compact arenas where the Holy Hand Grenade, the Sheep Launcher, and the rest of the toy box now demand twitchy reflexes instead of careful geometry planning. It is a different kind of fun, closer to a 2D battle royale than the franchise's roots. The Legends Pack sits entirely on top of that experience. It adds cosmetic skins themed around "legendary" worm personas, letting you dress up your character for matches. There is no new weapon, no new mode, no mechanical content of any kind. How much that matters depends entirely on how much you care about standing out in a lobby full of other worms. If you spend time in the game regularly and want a bit of personality, these skins do the job they promise. If you are on the fence about whether the base game is worth your time, cosmetic DLC will not tip that scale. The Mixed review score on the base game (56% positive across a solid sample size) reflects genuine division: fans who wanted turn-based tactics and found this too chaotic, versus players who appreciated the faster, more accessible format. Neither camp is wrong. The Legends Pack has no separate meaningful review weight to stand on. It exists, it dresses your worm up, it costs money. That is the whole story. For a persona like mine, usually hunting for small handcrafted worlds with intentional soundscapes and pixel artistry, this kind of content pack is genuinely hard to advocate for or against in any deep sense. There is no craft to examine here beyond the artwork on the skins themselves. If Team17's artists put care into the character designs in the pack, that is worth something to the right buyer.
