Grand Prix Rock 'N Racing

I fired up Grand Prix Rock 'N Racing expecting a throwback kart racer, and that's mostly what I got. Local multiplayer is the real draw here, up to four players on one screen, proper controller support, no fussing with split-screen settings. The arcade handling is snappy and forgiving, which makes it solid for a casual Friday night where not everyone's a racing sim brain. The rock-themed presentation has charm, even if it doesn't push any visual boundaries. Single-player is where the cracks show. The campaign lacks the meat to keep you hooked between multiplayer sessions, and the progression feels thin. If you're hunting a racing game you can actually share with friends on the couch without explaining throttle lockup, this hits. If you need solo content with legs, look elsewhere. Riley, Scout Team
