Genesis Alpha One Deluxe Edition

Genesis Alpha One bites off more than most indie roguelikes dare: you're managing a ship as much as you're shooting. You'll explore procedural sectors, gather resources, crew up your vessel, and fend off waves of hostiles. The building mechanics feel fresh compared to pure FPS roguelikes, and there's real satisfaction in watching your ramshackle crew bay produce clones while you defend the bridge. The problem is pacing. RNG-heavy loot and progression mean some runs stall hard, you'll grind the same zones waiting for the right upgrade to drop, and the game doesn't reward that patience well. Combat is solid but not innovative, and after 20 hours the loop starts feeling thin. It's a game for players who love the *idea* of roguelike management more than the execution. If you're willing to forgive repetitive grinding and middling combat for a weird sci-fi premise, there's something here. Just know you're gambling on RNG kindness.
