GamerScout Verdict
Best for couch multiplayer chaos with friends who don't mind dated presentation.

About Gas Guzzlers Extreme: Full Metal Frenzy
Gas Guzzlers Extreme: Full Metal Frenzy is a straightforward arcade racer that leans hard into destruction-derby chaos. You're racing on tracks packed with power-ups, environmental hazards, and opponents who'd rather ram you into a wall than take the racing line. Full Metal Frenzy adds new maps, cars, and weapons to the base game, which means if you've already burned through the original, there's fresh content to mess with. Controller support is solid, and the four-player local multiplayer is where this thing actually shines - it's the kind of game where your drunk mates will find it hilarious to spawn-camp you with a missile launcher. The catch: it's a budget racer from 2014, and it feels like one. Physics are arcade-loose (which is fine), but the presentation is clunky, matchmaking is nonexistent, and there's no real progression hook to keep you coming back solo. The online community is basically dead. This is a couch multiplayer novelty, not a sim. If you've got friends, local split-screen chaos, and low expectations, you'll get a few laughs. Otherwise, move on.
