Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Master Edition
A Dragon Ball Z action-RPG that lets you relive the anime's biggest story arcs with solid combat and character progression, but stumbles on pacing and side-quest bloat.
GamerScout Verdict
Solid for DBZ fans willing to tolerate side-quest padding for story payoff and combat spectacle.

About Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Master Edition
I went in expecting a straightforward power-fantasy romp through DBZ's greatest hits, and Kakarot mostly delivers on that. The combat feels responsive, chaining special moves and watching Kamehamehas connect has real weight to it. Story progression tracks the anime faithfully from Saiyan Saga through Buu, and fans will appreciate the finer character moments that a 20-episode arc glosses over. Progression systems (training, cooking, community boards) give you stuff to do between story missions. But the pacing drags hard. Mandatory padding between story beats, repetitive side quests, and an XP grind that doesn't respect your time make the 40-50 hour runtime feel padded. The Master Edition bundle adds DLC character episodes and cosmetics, which helps if you're committed, but the core experience is a solid B-tier anime adaptation that works best in short sessions.
