About DCR: Drive.Crash.Repeat
I went in expecting a joke game and found something genuinely fun. DCR is a forward-only auto-runner dressed up as a racer, which sounds gimmicky until you realize the constraint is the entire appeal. You're constantly moving, constantly deciding whether to swerve left, right, or just accept the incoming collision. Each of the handcrafted levels has its own personality and ramps up the chaos in smart ways, traffic patterns shift, geometry gets trickier, and the game trusts you to learn by failing fast. It's a pick-up-and-play physics toy that respects your time. No grinding, no timers, just pure reflex skill. The retro aesthetic holds up fine for something this unambitious in scope. Fair warning: it's short and niche, so manage expectations accordingly. But if you want a sub-5-dollar arcade hit to burn through on a lazy afternoon, this lands. Riley, Scout Team
