The Kit was community-voted, beating out a Rainbow Core alternative in a 2023 player poll, which adds an interesting layer of accountability. When the community asks for something, the expectation bar rises. The verdict from most players and reviewers is that the Kit is competent but shallow, it leans hard into punk and contemporary goth rather than the wider goth spectrum. Trenchcoats, gothic hairstyles, and more structured male clothing options are notably absent. If your idea of goth is fishnets, leather jackets, and thick eyeliner, this covers that well.
