Two sessions later I was optimizing my Trader skill node to squeeze extra coins out of strawberry harvests, and that tells you most of what you need to know about who this game quietly hooks. The structure is more deliberate than it first looks. You inherit an overgrown plot and spend in-game days - each running from 8am to 6pm - clearing rubbish, mowing grass, planting crops, and selling harvests via an outdoor laptop that the game insists belongs in a very trusting neighbourhood. Seven distinct skill categories cover areas like Trader (selling price multiplier), Agriculture (growth speed), and Watering efficiency. Each harvest, each bag of lawn clippings disposed of, each weed pulled earns XP toward those nodes. It is a light progression system by genre standards, but it gives every mundane task a numeric purpose, which is exactly the kind of thing that keeps a certain type of player going long past common sense. Reviewers clocked between 16 and 20 hours to fully unlock the shop and skill tree, with the garden itself expanding as milestone thresholds are cleared. The honest criticism is that the game runs out of content before it runs out of charm. Once the robot lawnmower is purchased and the auto-watering system is running, the remaining reasons to play shrink to trophy hunting and freeform decoration. There is a single plot of land throughout - no additional gardens, no neighbour visits, no seasons. Quest variety is limited to locals requesting specific flower quantities or crop types via the mailbox, which is pleasant but thin. Hit detection on the manual lawnmower and spade can be unreliable, and some players have flagged a font size that strains on smaller screens. These are real friction points, not minor quibbles. What works is the accumulation loop itself. It is a tight little economy inside a very small space, and the ambient soundtrack does genuine work keeping the whole thing feeling unhurried rather than grindy. The first-person perspective puts you at ground level with the plants, and the visual feedback of a plot going from weed-infested chaos to neat rows of strawberries and sunflowers is satisfying in a way that is hard to argue with on rational grounds but impossible to deny once you have experienced it. It will not tax anyone used to supply chain games, but it is a genuine decision layer rather than a pure timesink.
