Finn and Jake sail a flooded Ooo, interrogating pirates and brawling bad guys in a turn-based RPG built for Adventure Time fans of all ages.

Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion is a turn-based RPG developed by Climax Studios that drops you into a waterlogged version of the Land of Ooo. The central mystery, why is the whole kingdom underwater, gives the game a tighter narrative hook than you might expect from a licensed kids' title. You play as Finn and Jake, sailing between islands, picking up allies like BMO and Marceline, and piecing together what went wrong. The writing lifts directly from the show's tone, which means dry absurdist humor, occasional emotional gut-punches, and dialogue that actually sounds like these characters rather than a corporate approximation of them. Combat is turn-based and straightforward. Each character has a small set of abilities, and there is a timing-based button-press mechanic layered over attacks and blocks that keeps your hands busy even on enemy turns. It is nowhere near as deep as a proper CRPG, and build variety is essentially nonexistent, but that is not really the point. The system is tuned for younger players or casual RPG fans who want flavor over complexity. Veterans looking for Baldur's Gate-style tactical depth will bounce off immediately. If you walk in expecting something closer to a playable episode of the show than a hardcore RPG, the combat does exactly what it needs to do without overstaying its welcome. The world exploration is the strongest part of the package. Sailing between islands, discovering hidden locations, and interrogating NPCs for clues scratches a genuine adventure itch. Side content exists, though some of it leans toward the padded fetch-quest side of things, which is mildly irritating even at this game's modest scope. The story wraps up in around six to eight hours depending on how thoroughly you explore, and the pacing is mostly tight. No level-grinding treadmill here, which I genuinely appreciate. Where the game earns its 90 percent positive rating is in the authenticity of its presentation. The original voice cast reprises their roles, the art style faithfully translates the show's aesthetic into a playable format, and there are enough lore nods to reward fans who remember obscure season details. It is not trying to be anything it is not. This is a love letter to the Adventure Time universe delivered as a competent, unpretentious RPG-lite. Non-fans will find it charming but probably hollow. Fans, especially those who want to share the show with younger players, will find it a genuinely pleasant afternoon. Monika, Scout Team
