Someone Made The Witcher 3 Multiplayer and It's Actually Real

A modder just dropped a working multiplayer mod for The Witcher 3. Yeah, you can now roam around as Geralt with your friends.

So here's the thing about The Witcher 3 - it's been one of those perfect single-player experiences since 2015. You know, just you, Geralt, and way too many Gwent matches. But someone looked at that and thought "what if we could suffer through Skellige's question marks together?"

Enter rejuvenate, the modder who apparently doesn't believe in leaving well enough alone. This is the same person behind the Wolven Trainer mod that lets you mess with freecam and time of day stuff. But now they've gone and done something nobody asked for but everyone's curious about - they've made The Witcher 3 multiplayer.

Now before you get too excited, this isn't some full MMO conversion where you're raiding with 40 Geralts against a world boss Leshen or whatever. From what we're seeing, it's more like you and your buddies can explore the world together. Think less World of Warcraft, more "hey want to come monster hunting with me?"

The mod's still pretty fresh, so we don't know all the details yet. Can you both romance Yennefer? Does only one person get to make dialogue choices? What happens during cutscenes? These are the important questions, people.

Look, I'm not saying this is going to replace the single-player experience. The Witcher 3 works because it's Geralt's story, not Generic_Witcher_2026's story. But honestly? Running around Novigrad with a friend sounds like it could be a good time. At least now someone else can witness my terrible Gwent strategies.
