About World of Warcraft : Lil’ K.T. - PET (DLC)
Let's be honest about what this DLC is: a cosmetic companion pet for World of Warcraft. No new zones, no questline, no class unlocks. You redeem the key on Battle.net, and every character on your WoW account gets a tiny skeletal lich waddling behind them. That's the full scope of the transaction, and you should go in with those expectations locked. That said, Lil' K.T. is one of the more characterful companions Blizzard has produced. The model is a chibi rendition of Kel'Thuzad, the Archlich Lord of Naxxramas, complete with detaching head that periodically spins around independently. His idle behaviour is where most of the charm lives: he cackles maniacally when you kill PvP opponents, echoes that laugh when you down certain NPC bosses, and will randomly freeze and kill nearby critters, triggering both his own giggle and the booming voice of the full-sized Kel'Thuzad. For collectors who spend time in the Pet Battle system, he slots in as an Undead-family battle pet with a move pool built around cold damage: a Frost Shock that deals Elemental damage and applies the Chilled debuff, an Icy Touch follow-up that deals bonus damage to Chilled targets, a DoT called Plagued Blood that ticks Undead damage for nine rounds and persists through pet swaps, and a root ability that locks the target in place while refreshing the Chilled status. The synergy between the Chilled application and the bonus damage on Icy Touch is real, but the community consensus on WarcraftPets has been fairly consistent since launch: he is a personality pet first and a competitive Pet Battle pick second. Serious Pet Battle optimisers will find other Undead slots that perform better in PvP brackets. One availability note that matters for context: the Blizzard Store pulled Lil' K.T. from direct sale in January 2023. He resurfaced through WoW's in-game Trading Post from October 2023 onward, rotating in and out with the monthly catalogue. Third-party key resellers are currently the most accessible route if he is not in the active Trading Post rotation, which is exactly the scenario you are probably reading this page for. The key binds to your Battle.net account, not a single character, so all present and future characters share access. As someone who keeps a running spreadsheet of which WoW companions actually have lore weight, Lil' K.T. scores high on that axis. Kel'Thuzad is one of Warcraft's longest-running antagonists, stretching from the original Warcraft III through Naxxramas and into WoW's own history, and the pet carries that lore with genuine wit. The animations and reactive sounds hold up surprisingly well for a design this old. It is pure cosmetic flavour, and it knows it. If you are a pet collector, a Scourge lore appreciator, or you simply want something cackling in your ear during a raid wipe, Lil' K.T. delivers exactly what the label says. Monika, Scout Team
