Nine pieces of the cult Sacred action-RPG series in one pack, from the beloved open-world Sacred 2 Gold to the divisive Sacred 3 and its DLC pile.

If you ask anyone who grew up grinding ARPGs in the mid-2000s about Sacred 2, you will get either a 20-minute monologue or a wistful stare into the middle distance. The Sacred Franchise Pack collects nine items spanning the series: Sacred 2 Gold, Sacred Citadel, Sacred 3, and a cluster of Sacred 3 DLC including Orcland Story, Malakhim Hero, Orc of Thrones, Underworld Story, and the Z4ngr13f Weapon Spirit pack. That is essentially the entire post-original-Sacred library in a single bundle, which makes it an interesting proposition depending on which part of the franchise you actually care about. Sacred 2 Gold is the centerpiece and the reason most people will click on this page. It is a sprawling, often ridiculous action-RPG with a massive open world, six playable character classes including the Temple Guardian (a walking robot-monk, because why not), and enough side content to bury a long weekend. The writing is campy in an endearing way, the builds have genuine depth, and the world is packed with obscure references and optional areas that reward exploration rather than punish it. The combat is floaty by modern ARPG standards and the UI belongs in a museum, but there is a particular old-school satisfaction in routing your own build through its skill tree and watching it snowball into something broken by the late game. Co-op was a major feature at launch and it still works, which adds meaningful replay value. Sacred 3 is a different conversation. Where Sacred 2 was an open-world RPG with all the scope and jank that implies, Sacred 3 stripped the formula down into a linear hack-and-slash brawler with arena-style levels, a lighter tone, and far less build complexity. The community reception was rough. It is not a bad game on its own terms if you want a couch co-op brawler with a fantasy skin, but if you come in expecting Sacred 2 with a new coat of paint, you will be disappointed quickly. Sacred Citadel is a side-scrolling beat-em-up spinoff and functions as a palate cleanser rather than a main course. The DLC packs for Sacred 3 add story missions and a new playable faction but do not fundamentally change what that game is. The release date here is listed as late 2025, which suggests this is either a re-release bundle or a repackaging of previously available titles under the THQ Nordic umbrella. There are no Metacritic scores or Steam reviews attached yet, so judging current technical state is tricky. Sacred 2 Gold has historically had community patches that address stability on modern hardware, and that context matters before you dive in. If you are on the fence, the honest framing is this: you are buying the pack for Sacred 2 Gold, the rest is bonus material ranging from decent (Citadel in co-op) to skippable (most of the Sacred 3 DLC unless you are already a fan of that game's specific energy). For RPG players who value build variety, world density, and the kind of sprawling character progression that takes dozens of hours to fully unlock, Sacred 2 Gold still holds up as a curio worth your time. Just go in with appropriate expectations about its age, and maybe download the community patch before your first session. Monika, Scout Team
