Look, I know Stranger Things Season 5 just wrapped up over the holidays and people have... opinions. Some loved it, some hated it, but we can all agree that Vecna was one hell of a villain. And now Dead by Daylight's giving us more of him, which is exactly what I needed after that finale.
Here's what's got me hyped. While the show might be done (still processing that ending, not gonna lie), DBD's keeping the Upside Down alive in the best way possible. Vecna's joining the roster as a killer, and from what I'm hearing, they're going all out with his abilities. We're talking full mind control stuff, reality-warping powers - basically everything that made him terrifying in the show.
The timing couldn't be better either. Right when we're all missing Stranger Things and dealing with the post-finale blues, boom - here comes Dead by Daylight with more Vecna content. It's like they knew we'd need this. Plus, for those of us who weren't totally satisfied with how things wrapped up in Season 5, this gives us another way to experience the character.
What really gets me is that this isn't just some lazy cash grab. They're actually expanding on Vecna's lore and giving us new ways to interact with the Stranger Things universe. And honestly? After spending five seasons watching these characters fight supernatural threats, being able to play as Vecna himself? That's gonna hit different.
Whether you loved or hated the finale, you gotta admit - having Vecna terrorize survivors in DBD is gonna be therapeutic in its own twisted way.
