So Palworld just pushed out update v0.7.2, and honestly? It's one of those patches that won't blow your mind but still adds something neat to the mix. The big news here is that melee weapons finally get some love with rarity variations.

Yeah, you heard that right. Your swords, katanas, and those fancy beam swords can now drop in different rarity tiers. Remember how ranged weapons already had this system where you could find common, rare, or legendary versions? Well, now your melee-loving Pal tamers get to join the loot lottery too. I'm curious to see if this means we'll start seeing crazy stat rolls on katanas or if beam swords will become even more ridiculous than they already are.

The patch notes cut off mid-sentence (classic Steam formatting issues), but from what we can see, they're calling these "balance adjustments" rather than straight buffs. That usually means they're tweaking damage numbers across the board to accommodate the new rarity system. Makes sense - you don't want a legendary sword one-shotting everything in early game areas.

As for bug fixes, the notes don't spell them out yet, but knowing Pocketpair, they're probably addressing some of those annoying glitches where Pals get stuck in terrain or bases randomly explode. You know, the usual suspects that pop up after every major content drop.

Nothing here screams "drop everything and update right now," but if you've been running a melee build, this could shake things up a bit. Time to farm for that perfect legendary katana, I guess?
