So here's the thing about this new No Man's Sky update - it's not the flashy content drop we're used to. Update 6.22 just went live, and honestly? It's all about fixing stuff that's been bugging players for weeks.

Look, I get it. We all want new ships, new planets, maybe another expedition. But sometimes you gotta appreciate when developers actually listen and fix the annoying glitches that've been making your game crash every time you try to land on that one specific moon. You know the one I'm talking about.

The patch notes are pretty extensive from what I'm seeing. Hello Games went after everything from texture pop-in issues to that weird bug where your freighter would randomly decide to phase through reality. Remember when half the community couldn't even access their storage containers after the last major update? Yeah, that's finally sorted.

What strikes me most is how they're still supporting this game six years after that rough launch. Most studios would've moved on by now, but here we are in February 2026 and they're still dropping patches like clockwork. No new content this round, sure, but I'd rather have a game that actually works properly than another broken feature added to the pile.

The update should be live on all platforms now. File size is pretty reasonable - nothing that'll eat up your entire evening downloading. Time to jump back in and see if my settlement finally stops thinking it's underwater when it's clearly in the middle of a desert.
