The N series has always been about distilling platforming down to its absolute core: momentum, precision, and that cruel little gap between a clean run and a brutal death. The next entry in that lineage apparently picks up exactly where N++ left off and then quietly, confidently goes further. Early hands-on impressions are calling it something close to a perfect video game, which is the kind of claim that usually falls apart under scrutiny but feels entirely believable given the pedigree here.
What makes the N games special is their refusal to pad anything out. No story crutch, no gear system to grind, just movement that feels so tuned and responsive that failure always lands squarely on the player. If the new entry is carrying that philosophy forward, and early word suggests it very much is, then it could be one of the most purely satisfying platformers in years. There is no release date confirmed yet, but the buzz coming out of this preview is loud enough that it is worth keeping a close eye on.
