So here's the thing about The First Descendant's latest crackdown - they just wrapped up another week of banning cheaters and toxic players, and honestly? Good riddance.

Between January 9th and 15th, the team went on a serious cleanup mission. We're talking about players who were making the game miserable for everyone else. You know the type - using exploits, harassing other Descendants, probably the same folks who teabag after every kill. Yeah, those guys.

What strikes me is how consistent Nexon's been with these ban waves lately. Every week they're posting these updates, which tells me two things. First, they're actually paying attention to reports (finally, right?). Second, there's apparently still a decent chunk of players who think they can get away with this stuff in 2026. Spoiler alert: you can't.

Look, I get that competitive games bring out the worst in some people. But there's a difference between getting tilted and actively ruining matches for everyone else. The fact that Nexon keeps having to do these weekly cleanups shows it's still a problem, but at least they're doing something about it.

No specific numbers were shared this time around, which is kinda disappointing. I always love seeing those big ban numbers - call it schadenfreude or whatever. But the important thing is they're keeping at it. Makes the game better for the rest of us who just wanna shoot some aliens and grind for loot without dealing with cheaters.
