FF7 Remake Part 3 Just Confirmed The One Thing We All Wanted — GamerScout

So here's the thing about Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 - we've all been sitting here for what feels like forever, wondering if Square Enix would actually listen to us. Turns out they did. The third and final part of this massive remake project just got its biggest confirmation yet, and I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty hyped about it.

Remember how we all lost our minds when Rebirth dropped back in early 2024? Yeah, well, the wait for concrete news about Part 3 has been brutal. But Square just dropped a bombshell during their latest investor call. They're officially bringing back the feature that made the original FF7 so special - the full open world exploration with the Highwind airship. No more linear corridors or restricted zones. We're talking the whole planet, baby.

What really gets me excited? They mentioned we'll be able to revisit every single location from Parts 1 and 2. Midgar, Costa del Sol, the Gold Saucer - everything. And get this - they're all getting visual upgrades to match Part 3's standards. That means seeing how these places have changed after all the crazy stuff that went down in Rebirth.

The development team also confirmed they're targeting a late 2027 release window, which... okay, that's still a ways off. But considering how massive this game sounds, I'll take quality over a rushed mess any day. Plus, they're apparently working on some kind of save data transfer system that'll carry over our choices and relationships from the previous games. Cloud and Tifa shippers, you know what that means.

Look, I know we've been burned by promises before. But everything about this announcement feels different. Square seems genuinely committed to giving us the definitive FF7 experience we've been dreaming about since 1997. And honestly? After playing through Remake and Rebirth, I actually believe they can pull it off.
